The worktree dialog state was local React state in SessionSidebar,
which gets destroyed when the component unmounts (mobile drawer close,
VSCode view switch). This caused the modal to briefly appear then
disappear.
Three changes:
- Move newWorktreeDialogOpen from local state to useUIStore so it
survives component unmount
- Guard useProjectSessionSelection layout effect to skip when the
worktree dialog is open (prevents auto-session-selection from
closing the sidebar)
- Remove setSessionSwitcherOpen(false) from worktree button handler
on mobile (prevents drawer close that unmounts the sidebar)
Fixes#1414
* repro: add test reproducing issue #1564 - empty branch list in create worktree dialog
The NewWorktreeDialog does not auto-fetch branches when it opens
if branches haven't been cached yet. Branches only get populated
if the Git tab has been opened or a draft session has been started,
both of which call fetchBranches/fetchAll independently.
The test demonstrates:
1. Branches are null (empty list) for directories not yet fetched
2. Branches are available after fetchBranches is called
3. The ChatInput's draft session branch fetch explains why the
issue says 'list gets populated after starting a draft session'
4. The missing auto-fetch call when dialog opens
* fix: auto-fetch branches when opening create worktree dialog

Keeps typed or pasted comment text when the editor remounts
Prevents focus changes from dismissing active inline comments
Allows cancelling by pressing the selected line number again
ArrowUp in chat input now moves caret instead of recalling history when the field has text
Removed manual cache-busting workaround and eslint-disable in favor of idiomatic onChange state sync
Extends existing file-reference detection (currently only inline code and
anchor tags) to also wrap path-like tokens inside <pre><code> blocks,
making shell-output paths like 'src/foo.ts:42' clickable just like
inline ones.
Implementation in MarkdownRendererImpl.tsx:
- New regex BLOCK_PATH_TOKEN_RE matches paths with mandatory extension
and optional :line[:col] suffix.
- New helper wrapBlockCodePathTokens() walks text nodes in each
rendered <pre><code>, wraps matches in
<span data-openchamber-block-path-token="true">, and marks the
block as scanned (data-openchamber-block-paths-scanned) to avoid
re-walking.
- annotateFileLinks() invokes the wrapper and extends its selector
to include the new tokens; the rest of the pipeline (stat check,
click handler) is reused unchanged.
- Code blocks longer than 200KB are skipped to keep large outputs
(git log, build logs) cheap.
The OpenCode server cascade-deletes all child sessions when a parent
is removed. The client was sending individual DELETE requests for each
descendant, which returned 404 after the parent's cascade removed them.
The 404 triggered rollback in deleteSessionAction, restoring already-
deleted sessions back into the global store.
Changes:
- executeDeleteSession: only send the root session delete; the server
cascade handles descendants.
- deleteSession / deleteSessionInDirectory: treat 404 in catch as
success, acting as a safety net for remaining paths (e.g. sidebar
bulk action bar when parent and child are both selected).
When switching to a session with long context (especially in Electron
desktop when changing servers), the chat viewport could render blank
until the user scrolled. Two interacting issues caused this:
1. historyVirtualRows memo never recomputed after the first render
because historyVirtualizer (from useVirtualizer's useState) is a
stable reference. Frozen range meant items rendered at the top
while paddingBottom filled the visible viewport after scrolling.
2. pendingInitialRestoreRef replay ran in useEffect (after paint),
showing a frame at scrollTop:0 with the stale virtualizer range.
Fixed by: adding a virtualVersion counter driven by useVirtualizer's
onChange to bust the memo; switching the replay to useLayoutEffect
so scroll position is set before the browser paints.
Replace useDirectoryStore.currentDirectory with useEffectiveDirectory() in
both TaskToolSummary and ToolPartContent to align the directory key used for
ContextPanel tab storage/lookup. Previously ToolPart used the global project
root while ContextPanel resolved session/worktree-scoped directories via
useEffectiveDirectory(), causing a key mismatch that left the iframe blank
when opening sub-tasks from chat messages.
Skill/snippet/command/file-mention autocomplete branches in ChatInput
called preventDefault()+return but not stopPropagation(). The Tab key
bubbled to the global window keydown listener in useKeyboardShortcuts,
whose cycle_agent shortcut (default 'tab') then ran setAgent().
Add e.stopPropagation() to all four autocomplete branches so the
synthetic event no longer reaches the window-level handler when an
autocomplete consumes the key.
Selection highlight now visually wraps status indicators and chevrons
Active session gets a subtle primary background tint
Multi-select rows use the interactive-selection token
* feat(ui): add cache hit rate to context sidebar with verified formula
Add a Cache Hit row to the last-assistant-message token breakdown in
the context sidebar. The percentage is computed by the new
computeCacheHitRate utility:
cache.read / (input + cache.read + cache.write) x 100
The formula was verified against the SDK source
(packages/opencode/src/session/session.ts:getUsage), which reports
input as the non-cached portion only
(totalInputTokens - cacheReadInputTokens - cacheWriteInputTokens).
Also export sumTokenBreakdown from tokenUtils for reuse, and fix the
event-reducer test type errors (setDelta/getText helpers, toBeCloseTo
replacement).
Closes: #
* fix: wire i18n key for Cache Hit label, fix formatNumber type, drop unintended event-reducer changes
* chore: remove unused cacheHitRate and cacheHitRateTooltip i18n keys from en.ts
* fix: correct cache hit token display
* fix: add French cache hit label

Adds `gh` CLI as a GitHub credential fallback for users who already have
`gh auth login` configured locally. OpenChamber-owned OAuth credentials
remain the primary source of truth; the `gh` token is only used when no
stored OpenChamber GitHub access token exists and the fallback is not
disabled.
The fallback is implemented as a credential provider only: GitHub features
continue to use the existing Octokit/GitHub API paths for issues, pull
requests, checks, merges, and related operations. The PR does not replace
those endpoints with `gh issue` or `gh pr` CLI commands.
Server changes:
- Add `gh-cli-credential.js` to read `gh auth token` with a bounded timeout.
- Cache the `gh` token lookup for 30 seconds, including negative results,
to avoid repeated subprocess spawning on status/polling paths.
- Hide the subprocess window on Windows via `windowsHide: true`.
- Clear the gh CLI token cache when the fallback setting changes.
- Update `getOctokitOrNull()` to prefer stored OpenChamber OAuth tokens and
fall back to the `gh` token only when enabled.
- Add `ghCliDisabled` persistence in the existing settings file with atomic
writes and `0o600` file permissions.
- Add `POST /api/github/auth/gh-cli` to enable or disable the fallback.
- Extend `/api/github/auth/status` with `ghCli` metadata: availability,
disabled state, active state, and active user when applicable.
UI/runtime changes:
- Extend `GitHubAuthStatus` and `GitHubAPI` with gh CLI fallback metadata
and toggle support.
- Add web RuntimeAPI support for toggling the gh CLI fallback through
`runtimeFetch`, preserving active runtime/remote target behavior.
- Add deterministic VS Code unsupported handling for the gh CLI toggle.
- Update GitHub Settings to show gh CLI availability and active status.
- When gh CLI is the active auth source, show it in the connected account
card and offer Disable instead of Disconnect.
- Keep Add Account available so users can still connect an OpenChamber OAuth
account, which then takes priority over gh CLI.
- Add localized gh CLI settings strings across supported settings locales.
Fixes addressed during review:
- Removed unreachable UI branches in the inactive gh CLI card.
- Avoided duplicate and repeated `gh auth token` subprocess calls.
- Hardened settings file permissions for the new persisted flag.
- Routed the gh CLI toggle through the RuntimeAPI/runtimeFetch path instead
of direct browser `fetch`.
- Added targeted tests for hidden subprocess options and negative-result
cache behavior.
- Fixed a VS Code webview Response body typing issue that blocked type-check.
Agent @mentions in markdown use the primary accent instead of generic link color
Mentions render without external URL favicons
Markdown mode now matches plain text mention styling
Add proper VS Code multi-root workspace support. New sessions now start in the workspace folder the user chooses instead of always using the first folder.
The VS Code sidebar now shows one shared flat session list for the currently opened workspace folders, keeps that list synced when folders are added or removed, and excludes sessions from worktrees unless that worktree is opened as a workspace folder.
Also keep the OpenCode server process independent from a specific workspace folder so changing the selected folder does not restart or interrupt existing sessions.

Adds item-level search inside Settings so users can find concrete settings like provider auth, agent mode, terminal font size, tunnel options, notification events, and similar controls instead of only filtering top-level pages.
Groups search results by Settings page and shows localized labels plus optional descriptions where useful.
Supports keyboard navigation with Arrow Up/Down, Enter, and Escape, matching the existing autocomplete interaction style.
Opens the correct Settings page or split-page draft state before scrolling to the matching control.
Highlights the matched setting with a subtle token-based background so users can see where they landed without an aggressive outline.
Adds explicit data-settings-item anchors across Settings pages and a centralized search registry with runtime/mobile availability guards.
Updates Settings UI skill guidance so future Settings changes keep search registry entries, anchors, localization, and availability guards in sync.
Added a mobile MCP overlay so MCP tools can be opened and managed from the mobile UI without relying on desktop-only dropdown behavior.
Improved mobile session panel touch handling so tapping the status/session area opens the right panel reliably on phones and tablets.
Cleaned up mobile usage provider metadata by removing duplicate rows, hiding unset providers, and showing provider logos consistently.
Added eager loading for provider logos used in mobile usage views to avoid delayed or missing icons when the panel opens.
Refined the mobile update and about flows in OpenChamber settings so release/update information is easier to read on small screens.
Adjusted related layout, header, VS Code layout, command palette, and settings text/localization details needed for the mobile polish.
Add native macOS vibrancy behind the left sidebar (the only translucent
surface; header/chat/right sidebar stay opaque), plus a setting to turn it off.
- Window created with vibrancy applied after first show (avoids the cold-launch
no-composite quirk); minimize/restore suppress the frost during the genie
animation. Renderer frosts the sidebar via --sidebar-vibrancy-overlay once
data-oc-vibrancy[-ready] are set; project-actions pill matches when open.
- data-oc-vibrancy-ready defaults are set in cssGenerator (DOM guaranteed),
not the preload (document-start race left the sidebar un-frosted on launch).
- prefers-reduced-transparency falls back to solid surfaces.
- Appearance settings (macOS desktop only): a checkbox to enable/disable
vibrancy, persisted to settings.json and applied via a Save & restart button
(vibrancy is a window-creation option, so it needs a relaunch).
Rework the desktop layout so the left sidebar spans the full window
height and reads as a distinct column, separate from the header.
- Persistent top-left controls (sidebar toggle + project actions) as a
single overlay that no longer migrates between header and sidebar, so
it stays put while panels animate. Drag regions carve out only under
the buttons so the strip stays draggable and the buttons clickable.
- Header sits in the content column (bg-background); the divider lives
on the chat content (border-t) so it doesn't run between header and
right sidebar. Right sidebar gets a top border + small content padding.
- Drop the rounded chat card and corner masks for flat 1px borders.
- Right sidebar, context panel and git/files views inherit the
background color instead of bg-sidebar.
- Remove hover background from Changes/Staged rows.
- Mini-chat header: borderless, bg-background.
Add TTS controls to markdown preview surfaces so users can listen to plans
and markdown files directly from the preview toolbar.
Changes:
- Add read-aloud / stop buttons to PlanView markdown preview.
- Add read-aloud / stop buttons to FilesView markdown preview for markdown files.
- Respect the existing showMessageTTSButtons preference in both preview views.
- Add a persisted ttsInputMode setting with sanitized/raw modes.
- Keep sanitized mode as the default for backward compatibility.
- Allow raw markdown only for server TTS providers that can handle markdown.
- Always use sanitized text for browser and macOS say fallback paths.
- Add Voice Settings controls for TTS input mode.
- Add i18n keys for the new preview buttons and setting labels.
- Merge latest main and preserve newer FilesView toolbar/editor changes.
Validation:
- bun test packages/ui/src/stores/useConfigStore.test.ts packages/ui/src/components/chat/message/parts/ToolPart.test.ts packages/web/server/lib/tts/routes.test.js
- bun run type-check
- bun run lint
- git diff --check

* feat: add draw.io diagram editor integration
Embed draw.io editor via react-drawio (MIT, zero deps) for inline
editing of .drawio files. Changes auto-save to disk. Includes
inline editor in FilesView with Visual/Source toggle, dark mode
support, template picker for new files, and chat file attachment
integration.
* fix: debounce diagram autosave to prevent reload loop
* fix: ignore watcher-triggered xml prop changes to prevent reload loop
* fix: remove auto-save-to-disk, add manual save button for diagrams
Autosave writes triggered file watcher cascade that reloaded the
draw.io iframe and reset zoom. Replaced with explicit Save button
in the toolbar (floppy disk icon). Editor XML is stable on mount
and ignores watcher-triggered prop changes.
* fix: remove auto-save write from DiagramView, add save button
* fix: hide draw.io save/exit buttons in editor
* fix: also hide save-and-exit button
* fix: brighten save button styling, add saved confirmation
* fix: remove autoSaveStatus toggle on diagram save to prevent toolbar collapse
* fix: add local save confirmation state for diagram button
* fix: remount drawio iframe on theme change, persisting XML across mounts
* fix: clear persisted xml on mount to prevent leaking between files
* fix: initialize dark mode synchronously, preserve edits across theme remount
* fix: auto-focus drawio iframe on mount/theme-change for keyboard shortcuts
* fix: add diagram i18n keys to Traditional Chinese locale
* fix: restore upstream HMR host and LAN address support
* fix: load sub-agent sessions on bootstrap for sidebar visibility
Two-phase session load: first fetch root sessions (for accurate
sessionTotal), then fetch all sessions and include child sessions
(sub-agent delegations). This ensures sub-agent sessions appear
in the sidebar immediately instead of relying on the async global
session store.
* remove opencode-drawio from PR branch
* fix: atomic file writes to prevent concurrent read/write truncation
Three-layer defense against the O_TRUNC race:
1. Write side (server): replace direct writeFile with write-to-temp-
then-rename. fs.rename is atomic on POSIX.
2. Read side (server): retry up to 3 times with 50ms backoff when
readFile returns empty but stat reported non-zero size.
3. FilesView client: refuse to save empty draftContent when the
original fileContent was non-empty.
* fix(dev): clean up orphaned OpenCode processes on Ctrl+C
* fix: allow empty file saves, log warning instead of blocking
Replaces the hard block on saving empty content with a console.warn.
The atomic write + read retry on the server side handle the O_TRUNC
race properly. The previous guard caused a UX regression by silently
preventing users from clearing a file and saving.
* fix: remove time window from sub-agent fallback for live tasks
While a task tool is active, the fallback now matches any session
with the correct parentID regardless of creation time. This allows
late-appearing child sessions to be found when the OpenCode server
is slow or the SSE event pipeline is delayed. The time window is
still applied once the task tool has completed, as a final sanity
check.
* fix: three diagram editor bugs from Greptile review
1. stableXmlRef now resets when xml prop changes — switching
between .drawio files renders the correct content.
2. Focus effect only runs on mount, not on isDark changes —
theme toggle no longer steals keyboard focus 600ms later.
3. saveDiagram updates xml state after writing — dirty-check
guard works correctly for subsequent saves.
* fix: route session.created SSE events to correct directory
Three-layer fix for sub-agent sessions not appearing in sidebar and
inline chat:
1. protocol.js: parseSseEventEnvelope now extracts directory from
properties.info.directory (where session.created/updated events
carry it) in addition to properties.directory. WS frames relayed
to the browser now carry the real directory instead of 'global',
so child sessions routed to the correct directory store.
2. event-pipeline.ts: same fallback in resolveEventDirectory for
defense-in-depth when SSE events bypass the WS relay.
3. resolveFallbackTaskSessionId.ts: time window lower bound now
allows 2s grace before taskStartTime to accommodate server timing
jitter (child session creation timestamps consistently precede the
tool's recorded start by ~6-9ms), fixing the 'Open subtask'
button not rendering in OpenChamber's inline chat.
* fix: sub-agent sidebar visibility, file zeroing guard, inline badge fallback
- Sync watchdog: periodic child session discovery poll (every 15s) detects
sessions created by other OpenCode instances, triggers parent materialization
- protocol.js: parseSseEventEnvelope extracts directory from
properties.info.directory for session.created/updated events
- event-pipeline.ts: same fallback in resolveEventDirectory for defense-in-depth
- resolveFallbackTaskSessionId: don't require taskStartTime (cross-OpenCode);
pick most recent child when multiple idle candidates exist
- readTaskSessionIdFromOutput: parse <task id="ses_xxx"> format from output
- FilesView: reinstate empty-draft guard (block save when draftContent='' but
fileContent had content) to prevent file zeroing on tab switch
* Fix diagram autosave reload loop
* Highlight drawio files as XML
* Use diff-compatible highlighting for drawio files
* Restore drawio file icon mapping
* Stabilize drawio source preview toggle

Replace local-only filtering in GitHub issue/PR picker dialogs with
server-side GitHub Search API queries. Search text is sent as a query
parameter to the server, which uses the GitHub Search API
(issuesAndPullRequests endpoint) with repo: qualifiers including fork
network support. Results are debounced at 350ms to respect API rate
limits.
- Add query parameter to GitHubAPI issuesList/prsList interface
- Server routes use Search API when query is present, standard list
endpoint when absent
- Fork networks handled via repo:owner/repo OR repo:owner/upstream
- PR search fetches full PR details after Search API for head/base/draft
fields
- Remove local filter memos from all three picker dialogs
- Add debounced search effect with abort controller cleanup
- Update VS Code backend and webview API for parity
- Update search placeholders in all locales

Agent settings now correctly save an emptied system prompt instead of silently keeping the old text.
After saving agent, command, or skill settings, OpenChamber refreshes the updated configuration instead of showing stale values from a short-lived cache.
Reload actions now surface refresh failures consistently while avoiding noisy background errors.
