Bohdan Triapitsyn a1bc1368ae docs(changelog): title every release and require one
Every release file now carries a title: two to six plain words naming the
change a user would remember it for. The generator refuses a release without
one, promote carries the title from unreleased.md, and the unreleased
template opens with a title line. The changelog-authoring skill and the
format README describe how to write it.

1.17.2 2026-08-01 OpenChamber theme by default

App

New

  • Sessions: move a root session and all its sub-sessions into a new worktree from the session header menu.
  • Desktop: the active session header has a menu with rename, share, export, archive, delete, and copy ID. A share link lands on your clipboard as soon as it is created.
  • UI: OpenChamber, in dark and light, is the new default theme.
  • Files: Settings → General has an Auto-save switch. Binary, PDF, and Office files are left out of it (thanks to @makeittech).
  • Desktop/Linux: a Window Controls Style setting switches between classic rectangular buttons and macOS-style traffic lights (thanks to @kydorn).

Improvements

  • Mobile: the app navigates by two swipe drawers now. The left one lists sessions across projects and lets you rename, archive, or delete with a swipe; the right one holds Changes, Files, Terminal, Notes, and MCP. Tapping the title in the header opens recents with live status, and a cold launch reopens your last session or shows a connect screen when it cannot.
  • Performance: the first session after startup opens faster, because background requests no longer get in front of the message load (thanks to @yulia-ivashko).
  • Terminal: switching terminal tabs keeps the connection instead of building it again on every open (thanks to @makeittech).
  • Chat: a tool description shows the glob pattern when the tool was given one.
  • Sidebar: a session with an agent working shows a live activity dot even while the sidebar is collapsed (thanks to @pascalandr).

Fixes

  • Git/Diff: symlinks show as links in the diff instead of dumping the content of the file they point at.
  • Chat: clicking the padding around the composer puts the cursor in the text (thanks to @IbrahimKhan12).
  • Chat: the / menu lists a skill once when a command shares its name (thanks to @IbrahimKhan12).
  • Usage: every Z.ai usage window shows up in the usage view.
  • VS Code: per-session auto-accept answers permission requests as they arrive when it is turned on.
  • Desktop: sticky session headers in the sidebar stop blinking and jumping while pages change (thanks to @ChangeHow).

Misc

  • Desktop/Windows: Windows ARM64 builds are available (thanks to @airtaxi).
