Bohdan Triapitsyn a1bc1368ae docs(changelog): title every release and require one
Every release file now carries a title: two to six plain words naming the
change a user would remember it for. The generator refuses a release without
one, promote carries the title from unreleased.md, and the unreleased
template opens with a title line. The changelog-authoring skill and the
format README describe how to write it.

1.16.2 2026-07-18 A rebuilt terminal and pinned messages

App

New

  • Terminal: terminal sessions are rebuilt on Web, Desktop, and Mobile. They draw faster, keep their scrollback after a reconnect, and get Unicode and full-screen programs right.
  • Pinned messages: pin a user or assistant message and its text comes back to the agent after the conversation is compacted.
  • Terminal: pick the shell and whether it starts as a login shell, restart a session, and attach the selected output to the chat.
  • Terminal: a theme change applies to open terminals right away.
  • Mobile: a full-screen terminal workspace with touch scrolling and selection, quick keys, and Ctrl and Alt input.
  • Sessions: a new draft or session stays with the project selected in the sidebar, including workspaces with nested or sibling projects (thanks to @bashrusakh).
  • Session goals: goal details show which model ran the latest successful evaluation.

Improvements

  • Settings: every page uses the same responsive layout, and navigation is grouped into OpenChamber, Workspace, OpenCode, and Library.
  • Settings: a save failure is shown in the page header.
  • Settings: agent tool permissions separate inherited rules from explicit ones and list session-granted rules on their own (thanks to @makeittech).

Fixes

  • Chat: when creating a session fails, the new-session draft stays open with the prompt you submitted.
  • Session goals: an audit waits while direct subagents are still working.
  • Small Model: provider API keys given through environment variables or files work for summaries, goal audits, and the rest of the Small Model features.
  • Small Model: Gemini 3 Flash models use the thinking setting they support.
  • VS Code: per-session permission auto-accept works again, survives an extension restart, and covers subagent sessions while an OpenChamber view is open.
  • Mobile/Android: an update download picks the APK when the release also ships an Android App Bundle.

VS Code

New

  • Sessions: a new draft or session stays with the workspace selected in the sidebar, including multi-root and nested workspaces (thanks to @bashrusakh).
