Release notes now live in changelog/<version>.md (front matter with version and date, then ## App and ## VS Code sections grouped into New, Improvements, Fixes, Misc) plus changelog/unreleased.md for what has not shipped. `bun run changelog:build` renders CHANGELOG.md, packages/vscode/CHANGELOG.md, and changelog/index.json from them; `changelog:check` fails when the outputs are behind and runs in CI and in release:prepare. `oc-dev create-release` promotes unreleased.md to the versioned file dated today and rebuilds. The existing history was split mechanically: every bullet kept, sorted into groups by keyword, five hand-typed headers with one-digit days normalised to YYYY-MM-DD (the update dialog matched none of them). The generated files keep today's release headers, which the update dialog, the release workflow, and the website match by regex. - Chat: finished agent replies can now show a short recap and a suggested next message, with separate settings for each and a Small Model setting for choosing the utility model used for those helpers.
- Voice: read-aloud can now use the Small Model to summarize long text before speaking it.
- Chat: the timeline dialog can now load older messages when the current session history has not all been fetched yet.
Improvements
- Notes/Todos: adding selected chat text to notes now uses the Small Model to summarize it automatically.
- Git/GitHub: commit message and pull-request generation now use the Small Model from setting instead of sending message to chat.
- Chat: file references with line ranges like
src/file.ts:10-20are now clickable in messages (thanks to @Catan). - Mobile: the composer stays focused more reliably when the keyboard opens, and the dictation transcript grows the composer like typed text.
- Mobile: iOS PWA safe areas, keyboard overlays, and app-resume connection checks were tightened up.
- VSCode: favorite models now stay saved after restarting the extension (thanks to @Catan).
- VSCode: closing Settings returns to the previous extension view instead of always showing the sessions list (thanks to @Catan).
Fixes
- Git/Diff: opening a changed file now jumps to the first changed line instead of the start of the diff hunk.
- Desktop: password-protected instances opened from desktop or a browser no longer take the mobile-only unlock path.
